This site was great, thanks. I downloaded SugarSync, b/c I loved the “drag-n-drop” ease, but couldn’t get my cell phone synched. It’s an LG intuition. It wanted to sync my old phone, my Droid X. So I don’t think I can use SugarSync, unfortunately.

I saw a new cloud-based app from SXSW 2013 that lets you sync text between all platforms. It runs on cloud-based technology. It’s called ClipPick. Probably be useful for people who are looking for alternatives

Great alternative I found is Memeo C1. It is totally focused on the business of sync and sharing. It let’s an IT/Admin control and monitor what is being synced and shared throughout the company. Key things were security and control with a web based dashboard.

Teamdrive is a decent and the most secure alternative to all other products. TeamDrive is definitely better than Dropbox, where the company can decrypt your data, if you care about privacy choose TeamDrive.

TeamDrive, you can add memory by inviting friends, up to 10 gb

Great point — it starts at 2GB and should read “up to 10GB” – thanks for the heads up.

I tried many free services where I got 2GB one place and 5GB another place.
Now I use a good dropbox alternative called Copy. You can use it on PC, Mac, Linux, IOS og Android. What can I say – covers more than my needs.
At signup you get 15GB for free, but at the moment they have a startup promo, so if you signup via my referal you will get an extra +5GB giving you 20GB for starter.
I will also get +5GB for the referal.

I think it’s gross when companies try to get you to push their product for them. No thanks. I’d rather not be that person. You failed to mention Sync.com, out of Canada, 5GB entirely free, heavy encryption and NOT subject to the US Patriot Act. I worry about TeamDrive for that reason, with the whole Merkel/surveillance issue.
